Central Ohio Training Center (COTC) LLC is committed to providing quality educational programs for people who need job placement in the healthcare industry. We believe in quality education to build a foundation for the success of our students. All training classes are taught by qualified and experienced RNs/LPNs that are certified Train-the-Trainers.
- STNA – State Tested Nursing Assistant
. Our training program is based on the approved standard curriculum of the Ohio Department of Health. This curriculum requires a trainee to successfully complete 60 hours of classroom instruction and 16 hrs. of clinical Session totaling 76 hours of training before certification. This program help prepares our students to perform assigned functions of personal care to people in their homes, long -term care facilities ,Assisted living and Hospice care centers .
- HHA – Home Health Aide
This course helps students provide assistance to the chronically ill, elderly and family care givers who need relief for their family. Many work in residents homes, assisted living and independent facilities. This equips students to work in a wide range of settings, predominately in client homes. They may also work in assisted living or long-term care facilities. We offer a 60-hour with no clinical experience required and a 75-hour course with 16 hours of clinical experience at an area Nursing Home.
- CPR/First Aid/AED
The Adult, Child and Infant First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older. - Medication Administration for DD Personnel
This course is approved by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities to become certified to administer oral and topical medications and perform the 13 health related activities. This course must be completed successfully to become certified and be eligible to register for Certification 2 and/or 3 courses. An annual renewal of 2 hours of training and relevant skill check are required to maintain certification.
